Wadsworth Area Chamber of Commerce ("we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you visit wadsworthchamber.com, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

We collect only what we need to answer you and to run the Chamber:

• Contact form. Your name, business, email address, phone number, and the message you write.
• Membership application. The membership level you select, your business name, contact name, email address, phone number, website, year established, hours, number of full-time employees, a description of what your business does, any additional addresses for our email list, whether you want information about group health benefits, and why you are joining.
• Newsletter sign-up. Your email address.
• Event registration. When you register for a Chamber event, we collect the name, email address, and attendee details needed to seat you. Payments are handled by our payment processor; we never see or store your full card number.
• Collected automatically. Our host logs standard server data such as IP address, browser type, referring page, and timestamps, which keeps the site secure and reliable.

How we use your information

• To answer your question or follow up on your membership application.
• To administer membership, including dues, renewals, and your directory listing.
• To send Chamber news and event invitations if you asked for them.
• To register you for events and seat you correctly.
• To keep the website secure and working.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information, and we do not use it for targeted advertising. Every Chamber email we send carries an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing stops the mailing without affecting your membership.

Your member listing is public

Membership includes a listing in our public directory. The business name, address, phone number, email address, website, category, and logo in that listing are published on this site and are visible to anyone. Tell us what you want changed or withheld and we will update the listing.

Cookies

This site uses essential cookies only: small files stored by your browser that help the site function and prevent abuse of our forms. We do not use advertising cookies or cross-site tracking.

Service providers

We use the following providers to run this website. Each has its own privacy practices:

• Netlify: website hosting and delivery of form submissions.
• Google Fonts: web fonts served on this site.
• Anthropic: powers the question box on this site. What you type into it is sent to Anthropic to generate an answer. Do not put sensitive personal information in it.
• ElevenLabs: turns page text into the spoken audio on this site. Your voice is never recorded or sent anywhere unless you use a microphone feature and choose to submit it.
• Google: supplies the public reviews shown on this site through the Google Places API. We request review content only and send no information about you.
• Stripe: processes event registration and membership payments. Stripe receives your payment details directly and handles them under its own privacy policy.

How long we keep your information

Contact form submissions are kept as long as we need them to answer you. Membership records are kept for as long as you are a member and for seven years afterward, which is what Ohio nonprofit recordkeeping requires. Newsletter addresses are kept until you unsubscribe. You may ask us to delete your information at any time.

Your choices

• You can ask what information we hold about you.
• You can ask us to correct or delete it.
• You can unsubscribe from Chamber email using the link in any message we send.
• You can decline to provide information by not submitting a form, though we will not be able to follow up with you.

Children's privacy

This site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of the page shows when it last changed.
